The following pubs are closed on Tuesday.
Cozy little pub with plenty of corner nooks and a back patio, serving a good range of Sean Burke's lagers and ales.
One-room pub with plenty of outdoor seating in front when weather permits. No kitchen, but food trucks are parked on-premises. Unique in being the region's only certified-kosher brewery.
Former location of Lompoc Brewing's Hedge House, now pouring some of the region's best farmhouse-style and mixed-fermentation beers. Do not miss this one. 2021 saw the opening of a Kansas City-style barbecue kitchen. It's good too. Be prepared to show proof of covid-19 vaccination if seated at the bar.
Smallish functional taproom serves a range of quality house brews. Mt Tabor originally started in Portland, relocated across the Columbia to Vancouver, and is now back in Portland and one of the latest in the Buckman Brewery District.
Probably the most hidden brewery taproom in town, located in a corner of the building's basement. Well worth finding, though, to sample an excellent range of beers, from one of the best Pilsners brewed anywhere to an impressive range of barrel-aged beers and single-batch one-offs. Widely regarded as one of the best artisanal brewers in town. A 2018 update added a wrap-around bar (so more seating) and the ability to take credit cards as well as cash. That worked out all right until 2020, when the taproom closed down in March and remained that way, opening only for limited pickups of beer orders to go. Then came the best news of all: the taproom was going to be upstairs on the main (entry) floor of the building, and much easier to find. It opened in early June of 2021 and is easily worth a visit.
