Simple, functional taproom festooned with bold graphics, features outdoor courtyard. The Garrison pours Royale Brewing's range of ales and lagers. Food can be brought in from neighboring businesses.
Smallish functional taproom serves a range of quality house brews. Mt Tabor originally started in Portland, relocated across the Columbia to Vancouver, and is now back in Portland and one of the latest in the Buckman Brewery District.
As of January 2019, Portland's newest brewery and taproom for at least a few weeks. Just a few years ago, there were no breweries in this part of Portland; now there are two, with Montavilla Brewing just around the corner. Threshold features a roomy, open taproom space, including seats at the bar. Early days have seen three beers on tap: a grisette, a hazy IPA, and a hazy double IPA. Bring your own food. This part of Montavilla now has four decent beer venues, making for a good pub crawl.
Probably the most hidden brewery taproom in town, located in a corner of the building's basement. Well worth finding, though, to sample an excellent range of beers, from one of the best Pilsners brewed anywhere to an impressive range of barrel-aged beers and single-batch one-offs. Widely regarded as one of the best artisanal brewers in town. A 2018 update added a wrap-around bar (so more seating) and the ability to take credit cards as well as cash.
